Lois K.Griffith, MSC LMFT Couple’s Therapist
Lois Griffith loves considering how to make the best sense of life. She has a tenacious desire to see things clearly as they really are and to help you do the same. When life appears to be more than you can cope with, there are usually vital pieces of truth missing. Finding those pieces and operating more and more in reality and truth allows for understanding, growth and increasing freedom.
Lois believes every person is valuable and relationships are the great delight in life. The complication is that they are often an instrument of deep wounding and confusion. It is profoundly worthwhile and rewarding to keep growing in this area.
Licensed by California Board of Behavior Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist, in 2010, Lois has been a Marriage and Family Therapist with Heart Strength Marriage and Family Counseling, Inc., also known by some as Heart Strength Coaching since its inception in 2010, spearheading its incorporation in 2016.
Additionally, she has worked four years with the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Office assessing and meeting with adolescents and their families in the Special Education Division,
two years at Lemoore Naval Air Station as a child and family counselor,
six years at the Aesthetic View Institute, a non profit counseling center working with Domestic Violence Offender Anger Elimination Groups,
one year at Community Behavior Health Center (an acute care mental health facility) in Fresno, California, facilitating groups and meeting individually with clients and their families,
one year at Fresno Family Counseling Center,
and a fascinating internship observing the acute assessment and diagnostic skills of Dr. Howard Glidden, Developmental Neuro-Psychologist.
In another venue, Ms. Griffith taught for two years at Fresno City College, a first year experience course in the Counseling Department: Life Management/College Management, helping students with time management, setting goals, study skills, relational skills and presentation skills.
Lois has been in a marriage adventure with her gifted husband for over 40 years and delighted in raising three sons and one daughter. They all married uniquely gifted spouses and parent “Nonni’s” eleven grandchildren.
Lois graduated in 2007 with a Master of Science in Counseling Degree (Marriage and Family Therapist Option) from California State University, Fresno.
December, 2004, Lois graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
